The Nikon Z fc DX format compact system (mirrorless) camera is the first of the brand’s Z-series camera to adopt a ‘heritage’ design while supporting advanced features. Its exterior is inspired by the iconic Nikon FM2 SLR film camera released in 1982, a pivotal product in Nikon’s history. A compact, lightweight body is highly portable, but packs superb operability and rendering capability, making it easy to handle for both experienced mirrorless photographers, and people adopting the creativity that this style of camera offers for the first time.

Classic design
The pentaprism design and the balance between black and silver elements on the body reflect the FM2, as well as the circular eyepiece for the electronic viewfinder (EVF), the design of the dials, and the classic inscribed 70s-80s Nikon logo. The top of the Nikon Z fc body features a small window that displays the aperture, plus three dials to control shutter speed, exposure compensation and ISO sensitivity, enabling simple manual operation when changing settings.

Control light
For the first time in a Nikon Z series camera, the Nikon Z fc supports exposure compensation during AUTO mode, enabling users to achieve their desired expression by increasing brightness, enhancing silhouettes, and more.

Smooth, fast autofocus
The Nikon Z fc supports Eye-Detection AF and Animal-Detection AF in the shooting of both stills and video, ensuring consistently rapid and precisely sharp focussing. A wide-area AF (L) AF-area mode is supported, further ensuring the clear capture of eyes and faces by limiting the focusing area.

Z lens mount
The wide, full-frame Z Mount captures more light. And with the optimum distance of just 16mm between mount and sensor, more of that light reaches the sensor. Nikon’s F Mount lenses can also be used with the FTZ adapter (not included, available separately).

16-50mm VR lens included
This kit includes the NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR lens. It’s a great walkaround lens that covers wide-angle to portrait views with rich colour and detail. In-lens Vibration Reduction keeps shots steady, and focusing is fast and virtually silent.

4K UHD movies
Record scintillating detail in movie footage with 4K ultra high definition video at 30p. And achieve amazing slow motion movies in Full HD at 120p.

Wi-Fi & Bluetooth
With both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi it’s simple to use SnapBridge to connect wirelessly with smart devices for instant sharing of your work, and to shoot remotely.

Snapbridge app
Share photos and videos quickly and easily using Nikon’s Snapbridge app (available on iOS and Android). Quickly post a shot to your online media, control the Z fc remotely, and it even lets you update the camera’s firmware via your smart device.
