Description

THE WHITE COMPANY – Jute Pouffe

• Versatile, rustic accessory
• Made from plaited Indian jute
• Natural materials mean each piece is unique
• Matching jute pieces available for a considered look

This wonderfully rustic pouffe is made from Indian jute, which boasts a naturally silvered colour, and features a subtle plaited pattern that suits every style. Filled with comfortable polystyrene beads, use it as a stylish additional seat in a living room, or take it outside to enjoy the garden on a sunny day.

The jute plant is naturally darker at the root than it is at the tip of the plant, so some subtle colour variation can be seen on the yarns, which adds a touch of artisanal charm.

Consciously Crafted
Jute is a natural fibre that doesn’t rely on insecticides or pesticides, making it completely biodegradable. The plant reaches maturity quickly – between four and six months – so it is an incredibly efficient source of renewable materials. Relying on natural rainfall (rather than extensive and energy-consumptive irrigation systems), it also absorbs carbon dioxide and releases oxygen much faster than trees, and enhances the fertility of the soil it grows in for future crops.
