Description

Gary Barlow Organic Wine Trio – Case of Three

Shame he didn’t call the red wine Gary Merlot, but we’ll take that and party anyway.

The highly successful singer, songwriter, record producer, actor and TV personality Gary Barlow OBE has added another string to his bow, that of winemaker. And this piano-themed gift box contains all three of his wines released to date.

Spain holds a special place in Gary Barlow’s heart. It was the destination for his first holiday abroad and the first place Take That played outside the UK. So, it seemed like a fitting choice for his debut wines too. As you’d expect from the sustainable yogi, Gary’s wines are all certified organic. Inside this stunning collection, you’ll find:

  • Gary Barlow Organic Red Wine 2020, 13.5%, 750ml – We had wondered if this would have been aged in oak for ‘Twelve Months, Eleven Days’, but Gary chose to create a completely unoaked blend of Tempranillo and Syrah instead. Hailing from 35-year-old vines in Spain’s Castilla-La Mancha, it pulses with autumnal notes of damson, cocoa, rosemary, cranberry and hedgerow berries. We ‘Pray’ you’ll consider pairing it with a Sunday roast, Spanish stew, chorizo or refried bean tetelas.
  • Gary Barlow Organic White Wine 2020, 12%, 750ml – A crisp and uplifting blend of Verdejo and Viura, also from Castilla-La Mancha, this feels like white Rioja meets Rueda. Lemon zest, pear sorbet, crunchy green apple, lime blossom, fennel and cantaloupe melon all come together in a wine that will ‘Shine’ alongside roasted fennel, pesto pasta, summery greens, mozzarella salads or seafood doused with lemon and served with aioli.
  • Gary Barlow Organic Rosé Wine 2020, 12%, 750ml – Finally, we’re ‘Back for Good’ in Castilla La-Mancha for a delicate and refreshing pink. With its crisp acidity, berry aromas, floral notes and off-dry finish, this Tempranillo rosé has summer afternoons written all over it. ‘Incredible’ with garlic shrimp, cherry tomato salads, barbeques, guacamole or esquites.

When asked about his wines, Gary Barlow said: “I am so thrilled with the results and I hope you enjoy these wines as much as I enjoyed the process of creating them – whether you are lucky enough to be drinking them in Spanish style sunshine or round the table this Christmas with your loved ones.”
